AIHA-RMS is hosting a viewing of the AIHA webinar, Navigating Metrics for Workplace Safety and Health, on Wednesday, October 23rd 11:30AM-2PM at Hellman and Associates. This webinar is the local section’s AIHA National eLearning subscription. We host viewings of some of these webinars throughout the year as an opportunity for members to network, learn, and receive continuing education credits together. The webinar is two (2) hours, so each attendee will receive two (2) contact hours. Following the webinar, we will have a half hour for discussion. Many of us are responsible for metrics. We this will be good information and a good discussion afterwards.
Course Description:
This webinar provides background and information on the updates included in the AIHA 2023 Industrial Hygiene Performance Metrics (IHPM), second edition, publication. The use, and potential misuse, of metrics will be discussed, including ethical considerations and challenges presented by artificial intelligence to develop an occupational and environmental health and safety (OEHS) management system. Examples from application in the field will be reviewed.
